Custom Views

Custom Views

You can use custom views to display requests based on certain criteria.

Manage Custom Views

Manage your views by providing a consolidated view of all your public and private views. To access Manage Views,

  • Navigate to the request list view page.

  • Go to filter drop-down menu and click Manage Views .

Add Custom View

You can create custom views by specifying the criteria to filter requests accumulated in your request list view.

On the displayed page,

  • Click New Custom View.

  • Provide a name for the filter.

  • Enable the Mark as public check box to make the custom view public.

  • Select a Column and its Criteria from the drop-down.

  • You can add more filter conditions by clicking and choosing between AND/OR to match all/any of the column, criteria, and condition of the filter. You can choose up to 10 conditions using the AND or OR operators.

  • Click Preview to view the custom search or click Save to add the new custom view.

The custom views created by support reps are marked as private by default.

Only the administrator can mark the advanced filter view as private or public. The public filter views can be viewed by all the support reps, but the private filter views can be viewed only by the support rep who has created the view.

After upgrading to version 14000 or above, existing custom views will not be migrated if they contain invalid criteria or if they contain the Description or Resolution field in the criteria. In such cases, an email notification will be sent to users who are configured in the Send e-mail when an Application Error Occurs notification rule.
